"Sarah Morais was born before 1800, probably in St. Elizabeth. Although "white", she probably had Ashkenazy Jewish ancestry. She had a child named Mary Brice (bapt 1831) by William Bruce Bryce (1778-after 1831) from St. Elizabeth. She then became the common-law partner of Levi Patmore II or junior (son of Levi Patmore I or senior d. circa 1820-23), who lived on the Hatfield Plantation, which lay to the south-west of present-day Mandeville, Manchester. She is known to have had at least five children by him, namely Abraham (1816-1884), Levi III (baptised 1831), Ann (baptised 1831), Edward Porter (baptised 1834), and Sarah Ann (before 1837-1894)."
