Administrator of (1) Nathan Lucas, the owner of the Mt Clapham estate in Barbados and maternal grandfather of Charles Kingsley, and (2) Laurence Trent Cumberbatch.
He also appears to have been appointed as Receiver by the Court of Chancery in a cause Belgrave against Roach and 167 enslaved persons were given into his possession: see the return of John B. Mann, Attorney, the property of John C. Roach in the 1826 Barbados Slave Register.
