William Wharton Rawlins

Son of Stedman Rawlins II of St Kitts (q.v.).  Resident planter.  Claimed as trustee of (his mother-in-law) Margaret Bayford and on his own account on two estates in St Kitts: he lost out to his brother-in-law John Bayford in both, in the first of which Bayford was executor of Margaret Bayford's will (proved in 1825, when she was described as widow) and in the second of which Bayford was trustee of the marriage settlement of Rawlins with Margaret Bayford (John Bayford's sister). Member of Council in St Kitts at the time of his third daughter's marriage in 1845.

1. Marriage of William Wharton Rawlins and Margaret Bayford St Marylebone 15/11/1804. Margaret Sophia Rawkins, daughter of William Wharton Rawlins and Margaret, was born 05/10/1806 and baptised 15/11/1806 in Egham, Surrey. Harriet Elizabeth Rawlins, same parents, was born 07/02/1810 and baptised 19/03/1810 in Marylebone. Louisa Frances Wharton Rawlins, same parents, was baptised in St Gregory by St Paul, City of London, died 27/05/1852 in St Kitts. Louisa was born 24/12/1811 and married Robert Murray Rumsey 12/12/1844 in St Kitts. She died 26/06/1852 in St Kitts, wife of Robert Murray Rumsey, Colonial Secretary, soon after giving birth to a son. Theodore Edward Rawlins, son of William Wharton Rawlins and Margaret, was baptised 14/11/1813 in Elstree, Hertfordshire.
