Biography

Resident slave-owner on St Kitts, son of John Lynch French (q.v., whose will was proved in 1801). Andrew Lynch French had been apprenticed to William Saunders of Worcester in 1814 for five years as Attorney at law and solicitor in the Court of Chancery, when he was identified as the son of John French of St Kitts and Elizabeth French. His brother Edward A. French died at Andrew Lynch French's property in St Kitts (his maternal grandfather is given as Harry Darell, esq., of Calehill, Kent in this source.) Andrew Lynch French was dead by 1871, when his daughter married John James Saint.
