Anna Maria Littlepage (née Williams)

Awarded the compensation for two groups of enslaved people in Trinidad, one in her own name and one with her husband John B. Littlepage (q.v.) and with trustees for minor Littlepages, presumably her children. Daughter of Dr Alexander Williams of Trinidad (q.v.).

1. Gravestone inscription at Lapeyrouse Cemetery, Port of Spain: "Sacred to the memory of Alexander Williams. M.D. who departed this life on the 19th September 1833 aged 73 years. And to his wife Ann Hughes Williams who departed this life on the 23rd January 1833 aged 78 years. Also to their grand-children Elizabeth Littlepage who died on the 2nd April 1827 aged 2 years and 48 days. And John Burnley Littlepage junior who died on the 4th November 1834. Also sacred to the memory of John Burnley Littlepage, an affectionate husband and tender father who departed this life the 30 June 1838 aged 56 years."

2. In 1841 Anna Littlepage Ind[ependent] aged 45 was living with George 10, William 8 and Mary 6 in Pentonville; in 1851 Ann [sic] Maria Littlepage aged 58 widow was living at Bullens Street Camberwell with son George Samuel aged 20 clerk in West India merchants counting house and daughter Mary aged 16, all born Trinidad. Will of Anna Maria Littlepage widow of No. 13A St Thomas's Street St Peters Street Islington proved 27/11/1855. Under the will she instructed her house in Port of Spain be sold and her estate be divided among her six children: she also drew attention to the provisions of her father's will of 1833. She was buried at St James St Pancras 10/11/1855 aged 63.
