Elfrida or Elfreda Byles, nee Duncan, wife of Nathaniel Byles (q.v.).
Daughter of William Duncan and his wife Elizabeth Ford nee Smith. Born 25/06/1814 and baptised 24/07/1814 in St Catherine, Jamaica. Her parents had married in St Catherine in 1812.
Married Nathaniel Byles at some point before 1834. Three children baptised in St Catherine: Jane Hodge (1834), William Duncan (1835) and Theophilus Lynch (1837).
Elfrida Byles, age 71, widow Nathaniel Byles, died in Jamaica 30/10/1885. The informant was Cordelia Byles.
