Shared the award for one enslaved person in St James Jamaica with her sister Susanna Ann Gordon (q.v.).

Ann Gordon, daughter of Henry Gordon and his wife Rachel, was baptised in St James, Jamaica, 08/10/1778. She married Alexander Edgar Esquire in St James, 22/07/1797. Four children baptised in Edinburgh, Scotland: Margaret (1798), Henry (1815), James Handaside (1816) and Catharine (1819). Address at birth record of Margaret was given as No 6 Mary Place, Stockbridge in Edinburgh. Still in Stockbridge at the birth of Henry in 1815; address given as Mary Place, Stockbridge in the birth record of Catherine in 1818 (recorded in 1819).

At Marys Place in the census of 1841, age 62, of independent means, in a household with Anne White (40), Susan Edgar (33), Henry Edgar (25), Ann White (18), Eliza Archer (34), William Archer (15) and 3 female servants. All adults given as of independent means except Henry Edgar, "Army".
