1791 - 27th Feb 1840
Awarded with two others the compensation for Grandvale in Westmoreland as trustees. Grandvale or Grand Vale belonged the Cunninghams of Craigend, Renfrewshire. This is probably the same man as Alexander Pearson, Writer to the Signet of Edinburgh, who appears as assignee for part of the compensation on the Merchiston estate, Tobago no. 58.
"In this City, on the 27th ult., Alexander Pearson, Esq., aged 49 years, 30 of which he resided in this Island. His remains were conveyed to Taylor's Camana's estate, and followed to the grave by a numerous circle of friends. Royal Gazette of Jamaica, Kingston, March 7th.-[Mr. A. Alexander, son of Benjamin and Mary Pearson of Brough was baptised 29/02/1792 in Hope, Derbyshire. Brough House is now a listed building.
