Four children were baptised to them in Argyllshire: Elizabeth (1836), James (1838), William Frederick (1841) and Susan Jane (1843). Living at Hafton, Argyllshire, in the censuses of 1841 and 1851 and at 6 Athol Crescent in the census of 1861. Died 13/11/1863 age 50 at 6 Athol Crescent, Edinburgh.
