"Kenneth McLeay Esqr of Newmore was matrimonially bont to Miss Isobella Horne eldest daughter to John Horne Esqr of St. The said persons were married on Nov 30th Witnesses Major William McLeay and John Horne Esq of Stirkoke."

The Petition to HM King George III for the establishment of Tain Royal Academy in 1807 lists Kenneth Mcleay of Newmore, husband of Isabella, as being a subscriber of £50 and upwards towards "defraying the expense of erecting building and endowing an Academy".
