Brockenhurst (Hampshire)

Country estate at Brockenhurst in the New Forest, purchased by Edward Morant 1770-1771 and extensively landscaped by him. The house was remodelled by John Morant IV (1825-1899) as a French chateau to designs by Thomas Henry Wyatt in the 1860s. Wyatt's Victorian wing was demolished in 1936 and the house itself demolished in 1958, and replaced with a modern house.
