The library is your gateway to the resources and sources of information you need to support your studies and inform your assignments and projects. Developing your library research skills so you can find, evaluate, organise and cite information effectively is critical to your academic success.

In this live online session, we will outline the library skills you will need to develop throughout your time at university and will direct you to guidance, training and support available for you to develop these skills.

By the end of the session you will:

  • understand the steps in the library research process;
  • be aware of the skills required to undertake library research and how they can build on your existing skills;
  • know how to find guidance, training and support for developing library research skills at UCL.

This event is particularly relevant to students new to university.
