Task: upload a video on YouTube; find the link and send it to yourself via e-mail.
Preliminaries: YouTube account
- If you have a Gmail Account, you already have a Google Account.

- Once you have a Google account, your YouTube password will match your Google Account password.
- If you do not have a Google account, create one in Google OR YouTube. Your e-mail address and password will login to both.
Sign in

Step 1: upload a video
In the top menu click on Upload then on the yellow button Upload video | [browse for file] [The video is being uploaded] | [Select privacy option 'Unlisted (anyone with the link can view)'] | Save Changes
Within a few minutes your video is online and viewable.

Step 2: how do I find my video?
In the top right menu, click on your login name. Select My videos from the dropdown menu. Select one from the list and Play it. When it plays, you see the URL in the browser address field. This web address is the address you can send to everyone you would like to watch your video.

Step 3: editing options in YouTube
Find the button below right of the video window. Click on it and see the Embed code. Copy this code to embed the video in a Blog or a VLE.

Note:
YouTube accepts videos uploaded in most formats, including .WMV, .AVI, .MKV, .MOV, MPEG, .MP4, DivX, .FLV, and .OGG. It also supports 3GP, allowing videos to be uploaded directly from a mobile phone
