1. Rudy Kohulak passed his PhD viva last week. His thesis, titled 'Heat-transfer modelling in freeze-drying and related processes', was supervised by Frank Smith.

2. Hao Ni, her student Hang Lou and the rest of her DataSig team has been selected as one of the analytic teams in the DECOVID project at the Turing Institute. In fact this has been going on since May, but the announcement here: https://www.decovid.org/analytical-teams is new.
