About UCL Museums and Collections

UCL Museums and Collections are overseen by the Museums and Cultural Programmes team within UCL Library, Culture, Collections and Open Science (LCCOS).

We manage four museums:

  • the Grant Museum of Zoology and Comparative Anatomy,
  • the Petrie Museum of Egyptian and Sudanese Archaeology,
  • the UCL Art Museum
  • the UCL Pathology Museum.

We also manage the UCL Science Collections and the Auto-icon of Jeremy Bentham.

Our teams manage, care for and develop these collections to support UCL's teaching, research and public engagement.

We also create exhibitions, displays and public programmes, using objects and concepts from our museums and collections to engage visitors in the work of UCL.

With our academic partners, we collaborate on object-based teaching and learning and on research. We are a partner in UCL's Research Institute for Collections.
