  • UCL has fielded another strong line-up of staff for the Cheltenham Science Festival 2009, which runs from 3 June to 7 June.

Among them is astrobiologist Dr Lewis Dartnell (UCL Physics & Astronomy), who has reached the final of the NESTA FameLab, a national competition to find the next generation of science communicators.

Dr Dartnell is one of 10 finalists competing for a £10,000 first prize and an appearance on Channel 4. As well as taking part in the final, he will be talking about alien evolution, how natural selection might play out on other planets, and how humans might evolve if they ever colonise space.
