UCL Graduate Prospectus wins Heist award
30 July 2014
Ian Bartlett, Katie Grocott and Rachel Hobbs with the 2014 Heist award Staff from UCL Publications and Marketing Services (PAMS) attended the 2014 Heist awards ceremony in Manchester on 17 July and were delighted to receive a Silver award for the 2014 entry UCL Graduate Prospectus.
The prospectus was redesigned last year and the award reflects the research and consultation which was put in to ensuring that the publication was focused on meeting the needs of its users. Ian Bartlett and Rachel Hobbs received the award from comedian John Culshaw who hosted the evening.
Ian Bartlett, Head of Publications and Marketing Services said: "I am delighted that we have won this award. The student experience begins from the moment a student makes contact with us and, in many cases, this is when they pick up a copy of our prospectus. PAMS always focuses on the needs of its audience when producing communication materials and it is very exciting that this has been recognised externally."
Rachel Hobbs, Design and Communications Manager added: "This award is especially pleasing as the Graduate Prospectus redesign was a truly collaborative project involving colleagues and students from across UCL. I would like to thank everyone who was involved at all stages of the process which has led to us receiving this first award for a UCL prospectus."
The UCL Graduate Prospectus is no longer mailed out to enquirers as there is a clear demand for degree information to be delivered through our website. However, the publication is available for use at events and international education fairs where it gives a strong message about the quality, breadth and depth of study at UCL.
