Registration and nominations open for December Professional Services Awards 2019

Over 650 PS colleagues signed up for the PS Staff Conference earlier this year, where I announced two new initiatives that I am excited about; more frequent awards for our PS staff and the One PS vision. We’ve made some progress on both which I’d like to share with you now. 

Celebrating together as One PS

One PS, is our commitment to all UCL professional services staff, it encourages us to work together to solve problems and support UCL as a great place to work. 

When I announced this commitment at the conference, I shared the draft vision with you and invited your feedback on it. Since then, I have worked with PS Leadership Team to consider the broad range of feedback we received, and we have now agreed on this final version:

Working together we make UCL a great place to work and study, where people do amazing things, every day.

Celebrating each other’s successes across the UCL professional services community is a key part of One PS, and we will know when we are close to achieving our vision when we start to notice this happening naturally more often.

December PS Awards 2019

The PS staff awards are always a key feature of the annual PS Staff Conference. This year, we linked them to the UCL Ways of Working and saw a huge increase in the number of nominations we received. During the conference, I announced that nominations for future awards would be open all year round and that a second event would be hosted to make sure we are recognising our staff on a more frequent basis. 

I am delighted to confirm that we have now set the date for our December award ceremony and would like to remind you that nominations for these awards are open. Recognising and rewarding staff at the December PS Awards is an important step towards this achieving our vision for One PS and I look forward to seeing many of you at the event and once again celebrating our amazing people at UCL.

For the best chance of winning, please ensure your submission refers to the relevant award criteria which you can find on the PS Awards page. *Nominations close on Monday 4 November.

Join us on Tuesday 10 December in Elvin Hall, IOE, 20 Bedford Way.

Please arrive at 2.30pm for a COO Welcome before the ceremony, followed by networking and drinks. The event will finish at 4.30pm.
