Keeping in Touch phone call campaign – please keep your contact details up to date
11 December 2020
As part of our additional support to UCL students during the pandemic, you might receive a phone call from another student or a member of staff to check in on your wellbeing and catch up on how you’re doing.
We're checking in with students as part of our Keeping in Touch campaign.
A team of student ambassadors are making these calls, so you’ll be speaking to another student who may have had similar experiences to you this year. If you’re a first-year undergraduate, you might instead receive a call from a member of staff in UCL Student Support and Wellbeing, who’ll be able to help you navigate the added challenges of starting out at university for the first time.
Our ambassadors can do the following:
- have a supportive, caring and non-judgmental conversation with you
- listen to any concerns or difficulties you might be experiencing
- signpost you to relevant resources and recommend self-care techniques
Many of the students we’ve spoken to so far have found this a really useful chance to share their feelings, reflect on how Term 1 has gone and think ahead to the new year, and we hope you will too.
To help us get through to as many students as possible, please make sure that your contact details are up to date. You can easily check and update your phone number on Portico.
Many thanks, and we look forward to speaking to you.
