3 February 2022

The Summer School is now inviting expressions of interest from colleagues who might be interested in teaching on the programme – find out more.

Summer school

The UCL Summer School is eagerly planning for a full return to campus this year.

Applications for summer 2022 recently opened and early indications suggest there could be high demand for this study abroad opportunity, which has not been available to students since the summer of 2019.

The Summer School is now inviting expressions of interest from colleagues who might be interested in teaching on the programme, particularly in the following subject areas:

  • Business/Management
  • Computer Science
  • Education
  • English Literature
  • Law
  • Political Science

All Summer School modules are offered for credit (15 credits per three-week module) and the programme is taught across two teaching sessions:

  • Session One: 4– 22 July;
  • Session Two: 25 July to 12 August.

The UCL Summer School offers more than just an academic experience –  it is a social and cultural experience and an opportunity for participants to meet like-minded people from around the world. Modules make the most of London as a learning environment, either through excursions in and around the city or with external guest speakers, and the Summer School team organises a varied programme of social and cultural events in the evenings.

The last time the Summer School ran on campus, the programme welcomed students from 200 universities around the world, with 52 nationalities represented – many Summer School students have gone on to enrol on Master’s programmes at UCL.

If you are interested in teaching on the programme or would like to discuss further, please contact the Head of Programme, Rhod Fiorini for details.
