The EDI team has secured the rights to screen Re:Tension, an award-winning powerful short film (20 minutes), depicting a student’s experience of racial harassment covering topics of microaggressions, institutional racism and retention of Black (BAME generally) students in the UK HE system, directed by Ricardo Barker.

The film will be accessible to UCL students and staff until 5pm Tuesday 19 July.

If there is a demand for a follow-up discussion on the themes raised and how they may reflect experiences of staff and students at UCL, the EDI team will set up a lunchtime seminar for those wishing to discuss the issues in a safe space. Please email: equalities@ucl.ac.uk
