Event Recap: UCL200 pop-up

UCL200 team talking to people

On Tuesday, 4 June, there was a UCL200 pop-up event in the Wilkins Building, showcasing its Physical Legacy projects in a bespoke exhibition, as well as engaging with staff and students on campus.

A highlight of the pop-up was The Quadrangle over 200 Years (see pdf below), an exhibition by Professor Georgina Brewis and Dr Amy Spencer, which gave students, staff and visitors the opportunity to learn about the past, present and future of UCL’s Quad and its main campus spaces, the focus of the UCL200 Physical Legacy projects.

Through a series of interactive activities, incredible feedback and ideas were received from UCL staff and students across a range of faculties and professional service teams. As students and staff shared their own hopes and ambitions for marking UCL’s 200th anniversary, this feedback will be incorporated into developing a UCL200 programme that reflects their voices and invaluable perspectives.

The UCL200 team is actively seeking more feedback from the wider staff community in July. In the 45-min sessions, you’ll hear:

  1. An overview of UCL200 programme

  1. How you can get involved in bicentennial celebrations

  1. How UCL200 can support and amplify your work

  1. Live Q&A
