Professor Diana Kuh (MRC Unit for Lifelong Health and Ageing at UCL) has authored a study that found that women who had a
later natural menopause had higher verbal memory scores across adult life, up
to age 69 years. The study will now be following the women up to see if
this translates into a reduced risk of dementia as the women age and the risk of
dementia increases.
