Research finds 'sleep' brainwaves could protect against epileptic spikes

Professor Matthew Walker (UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology) said: “This study unveils, for the first time, a potential protective mechanism, ‘wake’ slow waves, employed by the brain to counteract epileptic activity."
