Royal estates 'receive millions from public bodies and charities'

Professor Robert Hazell (UCL Political Science) said: “The finances of all the constitutional monarchies in Europe are very complicated. You’ve got, in effect, a mixture of private and public money. All the monarchies are supported, in large part, by public funding.”
