London’s mayor announces plan to pedestrianise Oxford Street

Professor Peter Rees (UCL Bartlett School of Planning) said: “My concern with a street like Oxford Street is that it’s not a place, it’s the division between two places: Mayfair and Marylebone. Two of London’s villages.”
