Stonehenge’s Altar stone didn’t come from Orkney

“We have said it's not from mainland Orkney, now I don't think it's from any of the other smaller islands either,” said Dr Robert Ixer (UCL Institute of Archaeology), on his new research further pinning down the origin of Stonehenge’s altar stone.
