Linguistics student Frida Arthur speaks about her experiences at UCL to MyUCL
18 February 2016
MyUCL, UCL's weekly all-student e-newsletter, recently interviewed Frida Arthur, a Linguistics student, about her experiences at UCL.
Frida has always been really interested in language and communication, and linguistics allows her to gain insight into how language works. She says: "We often take for granted our ability to produce and process language – the underlying mechanisms that allow us to do this are very complex and interesting".

Frida is also President of the UCL Union African Caribbean Society and has been involved with the annual production Panafrik.
Frida's hidden gem at UCL is the Quad on a bright sunny day. She says "it’s pretty awesome to think that on any given day thousands of students walk across it – all with different stories and ambitions."
