Job prospects for each degree programme (employability outcomes)
The job prospects for individual UCL programmes vary from degree to degree. UCL is currently ranked 8th in the QS World Rankings, meaning that recruiters very often target UCL as a priority university for graduate recruitment.
For employability outcomes for specific degree programmes at UCL, both the QS and Unistats websites provide degree-level results.
Based on the most recent data taken from the Destination of Leavers from Higher Education (DLHE) survey, across all of UCL:
- 89% of all graduates surveyed were in either work or study
- 94% of this cohort were in graduate level work or study
For UCL undergraduate level only, the DLHE survey revealed that:
- 90% were in either work or study
- 92% of this cohort were in graduate level work or study
UCL's links with employers and facilitating job interviews
UCL Careers is connected to over 4,000 employers in the UK and around the world. Recruiters and employers visit our campus throughout the year to participate in a range of careers events and activities - both to specifically advertise roles to students, and also to work with them to build key employability skills.
UCL Careers operates an online jobs platform where vacancies are advertised across a wide range of sectors, for roles ranging from student internships to full time work for recent graduates. On average, at any one time there are over 1,500 live vacancies advertised.
