School of Pharmacy Academics named as Highly Cited Researchers for the 5th year in a row

The Highly Cited Researchers list by Clarivate has been recognising outstanding scientists since 2001, selecting researchers which rank in the top 0.1% by citations in their field(s) and publication year. Additionally, the list helps pinpoint the leading research institutions and countries that host these highly cited individuals.

Among those highlighted and celebrated are distinguished researchers at UCL, whose impactful work is reflected in the high citation rates. Their contributions are driving forward innovations in pharmaceutical research and life sciences, underscoring their critical role in advancing scientific knowledge and discovery.

For the 5^th year running, Professor Abdul Basit, Professor Simon Gaisford, and Dr Alvaro Goyanes have been recognised for their exceptional research at the UCL School of Pharmacy. Last year’s young researchers Dr Atheer Awad and Dr Sarah Trenfield have now been selected for the second time in the highly cited list for their impactful work in pharmaceutical 3D printing. This year, a new School of Pharmacy student alumni joins this reputable lineup, Dr Fabrizio Fina, for his distinguished research in the field of 3D printed medicines.
