Speaker: Kate Jeffery, Professor of Behavioural Neuroscience at Institute of Behavioural Neuroscience in the Division of Psychology and Language Sciences, UCL
About the lecture:
Originally medically trained, Kate Jeffery is a neuroscientist researching how the brain represents complex space, with a particular focus on three dimensional space, and the internal “sense of direction”. She heads the Institute of Behavioural Neuroscience in the Division of Psychology and Language Sciences at UCL, and is co-director of the electrophysiology company Axona Ltd. She is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology, Fellow and Vice-President of the Royal Institute of Navigation, and holds a Wellcome Trust Investigator Award. She is currently interested in climate change and how to stop it.
UCL's popular public Lunch Hour Lecture series has been running at UCL since 1942, and showcases the exceptional research work being undertaken across UCL.
