Choose from more than 400 specialist undergraduate courses, and 650 postgraduate courses, from Anthropology to Neuroscience. From day one we will help you focus on your chosen subject area, while supporting you to develop as an independent learner.

UCL Campuses 

UCL’s Bloomsbury campus is located in London’s thriving Knowledge Quarter, where partners organisations include Google, the Alan Turing Institute, the British Museum and the Wellcome Trust. Undergraduate Entry Requirements  

The Higher Secondary School Certificate is not suitable for direct entry to Undergraduate programmes at UCL, but may be suitable for the University Preparatory Certificate (UPC) UCL’s International Foundation Year.  

A Levels 

Our entrance requirements are based on three A Levels. Depending on the degree programme, we make standard offers in the range A*A*A – ABB. See the Undergraduate prospectus for your programme’s specific entry requirements, and equivalent requirements for other qualifications. 

Graduate Entry Requirements  

Entry to graduate programmes at UCL usually requires either an upper second-class (2:1) or a lower second-class (2:2) undergraduate degree. Please note entry to some doctoral programmes (e.g. MPhil/PhD) will also require a Master's degree.

The entry requirements for individual programmes can be found on the graduate prospectus. The equivalent qualifications from Pakistan can be found below: 

Minimum entry requirements  

Upper second-class (2:1) 

The award of any of the following from a recognised institution: 

  • 4-year Bachelors degree (awarded from 2016 in any subject) or 4-year Bachelor of Engineering (BEngg), 4-year Bachelor of Science (Engineering) (BScEngg) or Bachelor of Law (awarded before 2016) in the First Division, 75% or CGPA 3.5/4.0 from a recognised public institution. 
  • Master's degree of two years in duration in humanities and commerce subjects (following a four-year Bachelor's degree awarded before 2016) in the First Division, 75% or CGPA of 3.5/4.0 from a recognised public institution. 

Applicants holding any other degree-level qualifications from recognised degree-awarding institutions should contact Graduate Admissions for further advice. 

Lower second-class (2:2) 

The award of any of the following from a recognised institution: 

  • 4-year Bachelors degree (awarded from 2016 in any subject) or 4-year Bachelor of Engineering (BEngg), 4-year Bachelor of Science (Engineering) (BScEngg) or Bachelor of Law (awarded before 2016) in the First Division, 60% or CGPA 3.0/4.0 from a recognised public institution. 
  • Master's degree of two years in duration in humanities and commerce subjects (following a four-year Bachelor's degree awarded before 2016) in the First Division, 60% or CGPA of 3.0/4.0 from a recognised public institution. 

Applicants holding any other degree-level qualifications from recognised degree-awarding institutions should contact Graduate Admissions for further advice. 

Other acceptable qualifications 

The award of any of the following from a recognised institution:

  • Medical / Dental degree
  • Master of Engineering (MEng) or Master of Science in Engineering (MScEng) degree
  • Master of Law
  • Master's degree in any subject (following a 4 year Bachelor's degree awarded from 2016 in any subject)
  • MPhil/PhD

Applicants holding any other degree-level qualifications from recognised degree-awarding institutions should contact Graduate Admissions for further information. 


Tuition Fees 

Tuition fees vary by programme and you can find the exact fee on the specific programme page on the prospectus for both undergraduates and graduates.  

  • Average undergraduate tuition fees vary between £28,100 (PKR 10,314,066.07) - £37,500 (PKR 13,763,795.83)   
  • Average graduate tuition fees vary between £31,100 (PKR 11,414,510.61) - £37,500 (PKR 13,763,795.83)

Living Costs  

We know that you will want to carefully consider your finances when thinking of studying abroad, so we have created an overview of your potential living costs which we hope will help you plan and draw up a realistic budget. 

Many of our students work part-time, and our Careers service and Student Union can help you find work. If you do plan to work, please ensure you’re abiding by the conditions of your visa
