The first part of the AD-CARE study was a mapping exercise, and we have built a database of all the acute day units in England.
We included any units or organisations that provide a service during the day or evening (i.e. not a residential/overnight service) for people experiencing mental health crises who would otherwise be considered for acute psychiatric inpatient admission.
These might be NHS-run services, privately-run services, or services run by charities or third-sector organisations. The services that we are aware of have been included on the map below:
If you know of a service like this in your area please let us know by contacting the AD-CARE Programme Manager, Danielle Lamb, on 020 7679 9048 or D.Lamb@UCL.ac.uk, or by tweeting us @UCL_crisiscare. If you think any of the information below is incorrect please also let us know.
