UCL Sociology Network Workshop: Sociological Research at UCL
Garden Room, off South Cloisters, Wilkins Building, UCL
The purpose of the workshop is to facilitate networking among UCL colleagues (post-doctoral researchers and above) from across UCL who are involved in sociological research, and to get a better understanding of the breadth of sociology undertaken at UCL. We aim to generate a discussion about our respective research, which may spin off to collaborations, cross-UCL study clusters, Grand Challenges submissions, later events and so on.
To facilitate the workshop
- We ask participants to submit 2-3 sentences about their sociological research or scholarly expertise, and up to 4 key words. These may be theoretical, methodological,or your substantive areas of expertise
- Colleagues will then be grouped according to their research specialisms with discussions facilitated by USN coordinating group members. The smaller groups are intended to facilitate more in-depth discussions
- Depending on numbers, there may be the opportunity to join more than one discussion group. In the larger group,we will consider across group synergies, ideas for future events and collaborations, and whether there is an emerging or possible way of defining ‘UCL sociology’
- To participate, please complete this short registration form by 11am on Wednesday, 8th February2023
