In this online event, we’ll give you an introduction to humanitarianism and explore some of the key issues in humanitarian studies, such as ethics, climate change, economics and international relations. You’ll work together in groups identifying risks, challenges and resolutions, as well as hearing about some of the positive impacts real organisations have on the ground.
There will be plenty of opportunity for you to meet our teaching staff and ask questions about the sector, the course and studying in the IRDR. You'll leave the session with a better understanding of humanitarianism and we'll provide you with our recommended resources to explore more after the event.
This taster day is aimed at anyone thinking about studying at university in September 2023 or beyond. Because of the breadth of the BSc programme, we welcome students from all academic backgrounds. We'll be happy to talk about how your current subjects translate to studying the degree at undergraduate level, and how you might develop your current interests through our modules.
How to book
Please use the booking link above.
