New Risk and Disaster Management pathway available for 2018/19

For next year, 2018-19, a Risk and Disaster Management optional pathway will become available in the IRDR MSc Risk and Disaster Science where students will be  able to select up to 2 optional modules from the UCL School of Management.

Students will be able to take IRDR modules in Emergency and Crisis Management, Emergency and Crisis Planning, Risk Analysis for Disaster Science, Catastrophe Risk Modelling and modules from the Management School such as Decision and Risk Analysis, Business and Sustainability, Strategic Project Management and Leadership and Communication (subject to timetabling).

The Risk and Disaster Management optional pathway will fill a business and organisational need for graduates with management skills and innovative approaches to increasing resilience. Graduates from this new optional stream will be highly employable in government, NGOs and companies around the world, equipped with scientific understanding of risks and disasters combined with risk and disaster management skills. As one of the best global universities in the world, we aim to nurture future leaders who drive responsible and resilient businesses and who can foster sustainable development.

The optional pathway is available to all MSc Risk and Disaster Science students.
