Industry members enjoy the privilege of accessing UCL’s expertise in robotics research and innovations through:
- Receiving regular updates on our research, events and outputs,
- Matching members technology interests with the research focuses of UCL researchers,
- Exploring potential collaborations with UCL researchers on R&D projects,
- Invitation to industry workshops and seminars organised by the Robotics Institute
How does an industry member engage with UCL researchers?
There are multiple ways in which an industry member can engage with UCL, this may be through supporting our Taught Programmes or through collaborative research and innovation.
It all begins with a conversation, we will identify areas of mutual interest depending on the route of engagement (see below). A UCL researcher, supported by our Innovation Network Coordinator, will work with you to co-create a scope of work identifying a topic, scope, schedule and the resources needed for establishing a project or collaboration.
Ways of engaging with UCL researchers include:
- Sponsored Research

- Consultancy
- Joint Funding Application (e.g. EPSRC, InnovateUK and IAA: Discover-to-Use)
- Studentships (including Industrial CASE awards)
- Projects that promote widening participation and societal outreach
