The role of the Faculty representative

Members representing Faculties play a significant role in the functioning of the safety committee in the following ways:

• acting as the spoke person for people in that Faculty in raising concerns about health and safety issues raised
• bringing their knowledge of good practice established within their represented areas and from across their relevant disciplines
• considering and reviewing the agenda items brought before them in relation to how it will affect people working in their areas going forward and ensuring that UCL policy considers the teaching and research needs of the Faculty as well as the safety requirements.
