Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectrometry

This page provides a portal to all of UCL's world-class Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectometry facilities.

The Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Laboratory at the School of Pharmacy is equipped with two NMR spectrometers - one at 400 MHz and one at 500 MHz additionally equipped with a cryoprobe.
Further information

The laboratory provide analytical support to staff and research students at the UCL School of Pharmacy, as well as services to other Universities. The full range of 1D and 2D high resolution NMR experiments are offered. Advice on experiment selection and data interpretation is also available. In addition to providing the routine NMR service we are also interested in establishing collaborations with other academic institutions. Work for industries is subject to Contract.

The Institute of Structural Molecular Biology at UCL and Birkbeck is a multidisciplinary institute that draws together a high level of expertise in structural biology, biophysics and related disciplines.
Further information

The Institute of Structural Molecular Biology (ISMB) draws together a high level of expertise in structural biology (X-ray crystallography, cryo-EM, NMR, EPR), biophysics and related disciplines. Several high-field spectrometers are available – multichannel 700, 600, and 500 MHz, equipped with cryogenic probes – and also a biological NMR expert on permanent staff (Dr John Kirkpatrick) to run the facility.
