Overview
This course is composed of a series of workshops that introduce a basic understanding of silverpoint drawing and its historical context.
Students will prepare paper surfaces for silverpoint drawing using traditional techniques and materials. You will undertake a practical drawing exercise using a stylus, working from direct observation of a still life set up, as well as from secondary sources.
Who this course is for
This course is open to all levels of experience.
All participants must be over the age of 18.
Course content
Time is built into this workshop for you to creatively explore further types and processes of metal point techniques and surface preparations, with the aim of sparking the imagination into further experimentation with your own ideas.
A list of required materials will be sent a month before the start of the course.
