London Summer Intensive 2019
London Summer Intensive 2019

Applications are now open for the London Summer Intensive 2019. A four-week residency programme for artists presented by the Slade School of Fine Art, UCL and Camden Arts Centre.

Taking place throughout August 2019, the residency focuses on independent studio practice, offering artists the opportunity to experiment and make new work. Supported by a dedicated team led by artist facilitator Jefford Horrigan and visiting artists, the residency programme reflects the lively, rigorous and open-ended approaches to art-making championed by both institutions. Artists will work in studios at the Slade School of Fine Art, Woburn Square Studios. The residency will include a programme of talks, lectures, social events and professional development including studio discussion with visiting artists and curators, as well as members of Camden Arts Centre’s curatorial team.

Successful applicants will be working at postgraduate level or have equivalent experience working as a practicing artist. Those who apply by 15 March 2019 will receive a 5% reduction in fees. Applications will be accepted until 26 April 2019.  This year the London Summer Intensive will be offering two funded places available for two artists attending the programme. Applications will be reviewed by a panel including Kieren Reed, Slade Professor and Director of the Slade School of Fine Art and Martin Clark, Director of Camden Arts Centre.
