New Portico Functionality for Programme Approval and Prospectus Copy Calls
11 June 2021
Programme Summaries Update
Programme Summaries – Where we are
Work to introduce an online solution for managing Programme Summaries - our definitive record of each programme – is currently in final testing to be used first for the PG Prospectus Copy Call. The solution will be ready by late June. Communications and Marketing (CAM) colleagues will be scheduling training through their faculty marketing leads who will cascade notification to department users.
Prospectus Data will be imported from Report Lab and appropriate fields will be edited in Portico.
Portico workflows to propose, amend or withdraw programmes will be tested soon with a pilot currently planned for July (depending on the results of the testing).
Timings
June 2021 – Complete User Acceptance Testing of all new functionality in Portico
If the solution passes through User Acceptance Testing, we will continue with:
June 2021 – Copy Call is managed in Portico for the PG Prospectus 2022
July 2021 – Phasing in the programme approvals functionality in Portico: We will initially focus programme amendments and invite a number of departments to begin using the system.
September 2021 – Start publishing the PG Prospectus from Portico
From September 2021 – Move to Programme approvals, amendments and withdrawals being submitted and managed through Portico by default. The current process of emailing attachments will be retired.
Next steps
We will follow up with more specific details regarding the programme approvals functionality once we know more about the outcomes of the User Acceptance Testing. This will include a plan for training on using the system and validating the data that has not previously been maintained through ReportLab or Portico.
