Portico has a new home in the Cloud!

Find out more about the modernisation of Portico and what this means for you

An important milestone in the modernisation of our student systems was achieved last weekend with the successful migration of Portico to the Cloud. Access to this critical system was restored on Monday 12 December after many months of outstanding effort by the teams involved.

From a user perspective, Portico looks and functions as it did before, providing access to the same processes and reports. The application processes for extenuating circumstances and interruptions are once again available to students.

Portico in the Cloud delivers many benefits including the ability to scale the service on demand during peak periods. It also provides the opportunity to focus our future efforts on delivering enhancements to this critical service to improve both the student and staff experience.

If you should encounter any issues accessing the new cloud service, please contact IT Services. Continue to raise any issues with specific processes, such as Curriculum Data Maintenance, via the Student Records Logs, and Extenuating Circumstances via your Faculty Champion.
