Timetabling Services: Event Size Changes 2024/25

18 July 2024

Department and Faculty colleagues can now update estimated module sizes for 2024/25 in Portico until 09 August

Guidance on how to complete this can be found on the Curriculum Data Maintenance webpage:
https://www.ucl.ac.uk/srs/examinations-and-student-records/curriculum-data-maintenance/workshops-and-guidance-documents

Estimated module sizes are used by the Timetabling Services team to allocate rooms to modular teaching events. Reviewing estimated module sizes will support the ongoing allocation of teaching spaces:

(1)    where continuing students have completed module selections and enrolments numbers are relatively stable; or
(2)    where known changes to admissions figures mean the current estimated module size is inaccurate.

Departmental Timetablers can review requested subgroup event sizes (e.g. tutorials, labs) and programme level event sizes in CMIS.

Additional reporting on changes to estimated event sizes and module enrolment figures will be made available from August for Faculty colleagues for review.
