Currency and Expenses

Compared to Holland the place is not expensive, but for us it is certainly very dear.

Only their king’s coinage is accepted, and no foreign ruler’s ever. Their coinage is pure silver and gold and may not be carried out of the country, but is exchanged at the ports into the money of the country to which one means to go.
