Maria Smulewska-Dziadosz

 

Dzień dobry!

I am a language teacher and a translator with over sixty published translations, both novels and non-fiction books. I have taught Polish since 2005 working with students of all levels – from beginners to proficient language users. In my classes, I particularly enjoy the challenge of finding the right way to enable effective language acquisition for each individual student helping them discover their own learning styles and language goals.

My pedagogical ambition is to create a warm yet motivating environment where students learn with pleasure. I strongly believe that learning a foreign language boosts our cognitive abilities and should be a routine part of a healthy lifestyle. With a language as interesting as Polish, lessons can be also a very relaxing time – I do think one forgets all their worries when trying to work out grammar rules or learn how to pronounce in a new language.
