SSEES Students recognised at Student Union Volunteering Awards

A huge congratulations to two SSEES students, who have won a Students Union UCL Volunteering Award 2019.
Anita Sangha, (second year Politics, Sociology and East European Studies BA) has been awarded the Oliver Hare Altruism Award Anita, as well as having considerable caring responsibilities, has raised money for The Brain Tumour Charity, trained for a half-marathon and raised more than £2,300. Anita also founded a Cancer Research society at UCL, has campaigned on a range of issues she is passionate about and is heavily involved in Students’ Union activities like the Zero Tolerance for Sexual Harassment campaign.
Philippine Levy (second year History, Politics and Economics BA) was recognised for her work with Double Exposure, a project that provides a creative outlet for those that have experienced homelessness and to allow their voices to be heard.
