The UCL Ukraine Response Fund has been established to provide much-needed financial support for all of UCL’s response initiatives. In addition to the Academic Sanctuary Fellowship Scheme, it will give lifeline support to current students impacted by the crisis through immediate access to assistance grants and enabling critical support packages for both current and incoming students over the course of the next academic year. Friends in the alumni and donor community, as well as staff and students can contribute.
Doctors at UCLH are grouping together with their Ukrainian colleagues to get generators to hospitals in Ukraine. This is being partly led by a Ukrainian consultant, in collaboration with Ukrainian medical and army contacts. They have set up a GoFundMe page, as they are hoping to get the generators there by an agreed route.

- UkayExpress has helped SSEES students deliver donations from London to Lviv in partnership with MeestGroup. UkayExpress are open for donations currently in E10 (London) but we recommend calling +44(0)203 4417 857 in advance, or messaging on Instagram @ukayexpress to check when and how to donate. Medical supplies, canned foods and hygiene products are a priority.

- At least 6000 Russians have been jailed/detained for protesting Putler's invasion of Ukraine. The most important organization supporting them and future protesters is OVD-Info, which provides crucial legal aid in getting people out of detention, monitoring and publicizing their treatment, and keeping them from making wrongful confessions

- Project UKraine - find hosts for Ukrainian refugees under the government programme Homes for Ukraine. Project UKraine helps British hosts find displaced Ukrainians who are looking for a host in the UK.

- Translators Without Borders, a well-established NGO is currently looking for volunteers. In particular, they need help from people with the knowledge of one of the following languages: Ukrainian, Russian, Polish, Hungarian, Czech, Romanian, and German. Sign up here.
- The Work Rights Centre in London is looking for anyone who can support with interpretation and translation into Ukrainian (or at least Russian!) to support them in their work helping Ukrainians in London and abroad.

- Friends of Medyka is an initiative coordinating volunteers at the Polish-Ukrainian border
