Get help from the Service Desk
The IT Services team is the primary point of contact for queries about central IT services for all staff and students at UCL. You can request their help by accessing the self-service portal, visiting in person, emailing or calling.
Before you start
You will need your UCL user ID and password.
- 1. Access the self-service portal
Log into the portal by clicking on the link inside this container.

- 2. Report a problem
View these instructions if you need to report a problem.

- Click on the 'Something’s Not Working' link on the left-hand side of the window.
- Complete the form, giving as much detail of the problem as you can.
- Click 'Submit'.
- You will receive an email confirming that your request has been logged.
- 3. Request something
View these instructions if you need to request something.

Check whether your request is listed under 'Frequently Used Service Requests' on the homepage.
If it is, click on the relvant request and fill in the form that pops up.
If your requst isn't listed there, click on 'Request Something' on the left-hand side of the screen and follow the instructions below:
- Choose the appropriate category.
- Select the relevant form for your request.
- Give as much detail as possible in your form.
- Your request will go directly to the resolver team, who looks after the service you’ve chosen.
- You will receive an email confirming that your request has been logged.
