ARI Live!

Areas of Research Interest (ARI) are published by Government Departments and other bodies to communicate their research needs and key policy questions. They invite experts to contribute research and information that can help policymakers build their evidence base and address complex issues.

Engaging ARI’s enables researchers to contribute directly to addressing real-world challenges and inform policy decisions. ARI Live! Is a concept designed by PIU to act as a forum for policymakers and academics to come together and delve deeper into specific ARIs, sharing diverse perspectives, identifying cross-cutting themes, and enabling wider dialogue on these critical policy questions.

In creating this space for broader dialogue, policymakers and academics can discuss the current evidence base and emerging research, ask follow up questions, discuss associated issues, clarify nuances and explore different scenarios.

An event report is written ‘live’ on the day, so that it is instantly shareable – helping maintain momentum from the event and supporting more immediate follow up conversations.
